UXUA Maré is 20 to 40 minutes by car from Trancoso’s Historic Quadrado town center, where UXUA Casa Hotel & Spa is located as well as a wide variety of restaurants, bars, shops and boutiques. We can organize transfers at R$ 210 + 10% each way, and if you have a rental car UXUA’s hotel parking is free-of-charge.

You are surrounded by 15 acres of preserved Atlantic Rainforest, an extremely private atmosphere blessed with a prime beach spot protected by coral reefs that create beautiful pools of tropical fish at low tide and offers transparent calm waters.

The surrounding nature has 96 different tree species, home to sagui and guigo monkeys, sloths, green Brazilian parrots and countless bird varieties including fishing eagles and owls and butterflies in infinite varieties.

Maré is beauty found during difficult times, the project started in 2020 with the slow process of reforesting damaged areas, identifying all different flora present and introducing additional fruit trees as well as vegetables and edible wild plants.

Casa Azul and Amarela were hundred year old farm houses in Minas Gerais state about to be demolished which gained new life at Itapororoca, lovingly rebuilt and incremented with design and decor touches crafted by me and my team of artisans. Casa Branca was created as a grand farm house using a collection of antique window and doors of prime wood no longer felled.

UXUA was born as a tribute to the natural beauty and culture of Trancoso, and Maré continues my fascination with this place and pays homage to its beautiful nature.

Each suite has its own safe. We ask for your care not to lose the key as its replacement cost is R$ 300.

AIR CONDITIONING

You can adjust the temperature and direction of your air-conditioner using the remote control. Out of consideration for the environment and better cooling, we suggest keeping doors closed when operating the A/C and turning it off when leaving your casa.

LAUNDRY

All bedrooms have a laundry basket which is collected daily and items are delivered washed and ironed up to 48 hours later. If you have urgency for a particular item please let us know

The calm Itapororoca sea is perfect for snorkeling at the reefs or kayaking. Both equipments are available for use free of charge during your stay, located at your house's dedicated beach lounge.
